Employment based I485 is pending and priority date is not current, and wont be current until we have cars that fly. Have valid advance parole from EB I485. Plan to file a family based I485 next month and wait for receipt notice and then travel out of country.
Is it possible to return to US on the advance parole from EB I485 after filing FB I485? (Application for a second advance parole based on for the FB I485 will be pending as it takes ~3 months to process AP).

I have two I - 140s pending (say A and B)
I am applying I-485 for A (140)
If my I-140 for A gets denied can I change the I-485 to use I 140 from B later?
Or do I need to apply for I-485 freshly with I-140 from B?

Dear Attorney,
I am on L1B visa and valid until Oct2010; I somehow decide to apply for green card with certain personal reason.
As I understanding, the employer will file the green card petition for me. I'd like to what's the difference between filing from lawyer ("Duration"), because I am ready to hire a lawyer to file that for myself if it can shorten the duration to obtain a green card. What's the time range it will be processed from L1B to greencard?
My only concern is if it is a shortcut (duration) to file green card petition from lawyer instead of employer.

I used Ap in 2007 and than I filed H-1B extension 6 month prior to my H-1B expiring in sept 2008. which was approved with the sameI-94 as on parolee status.
I want to use AP again, is there any problem.

My H1B expired when I renewed (last month) my EAD. I e-filed it and selected H1B "SPECIALITY OCCUPATION". I got my new EAD card in hand within 22days from the day I filed.

I applied for green card via national interest waiver category, and I decided to obtain green card through consular processing. To be eligible to get the immigrant visa in my home country, I showed consulate an offer letter from a U.S. company.
My question is , do I really have to work on that job after I enter U.S. ? Because I am not very interested in that position. And I am thinking about studying for an MBA, instead of working.
I was given a temporary green card when I entered the custom. It usually takes 2 month to get the official green card. But if I reject that offer , would my green card be revoked ?

I am getting ready to file for my 485. I have a problem, and I am not sure how to go about it --
My wife's birth certificate has her name listed differently than it is. The birth certificate has a temporary/pet name. Is there anything I can do now, in next 14 days, before I can file for 485? Will any kind of affidavit help?

I filed green card with my old emp. in 2002, i applied for i485 July/07 and in APR/08 i change my job to similar profession, now i work and live in MD, and my interview for status adj is sch in NJ, should i notify and change address to MD since i live , work and my current emp. in MD. I filed my eEAD 45 days back, competed finger printing 15 days back, still I don't see LUD on my case; However, my spouse who filed 30 days back had 3 LUD, and a recent after finger print.
Can guys suggest, is this common. Usually after FP I should see a LUD, right? What are my options..:confused:

My Receipt date for 485 is july 27th 2007 and nebraska is processing applications for this date.
I applied for cross chargeability on 10th March.. Any idea how long before my case is approved? My lawyer has confirmed that its possible and he claims that it should take 4-8 weeks. I wanted to check to see what the experience of people has been so far?
Any insight is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Guys, we should have more rallies like the SJ one in bay area.. the next target can be San Francisco - Civic Center.
There are many official bulidings like City Hall here and we will definitely get heard again.
I always suggested for this type of gathering on roads so as to get heard. THIS WAS A JOB WELL DONE by people who attended and organized.
Finally to gsc and others, save banners and material from the the SJ rally so that we dont have to start from scrach.
For the people who didnt make it, please attend the next one no matter what.
What do u guys say for Aug 18 ?
