For how many years does the employer have to guarantee that it has funding to pay my salary? Or how does this thing work out. My employer has 300+ employees.

The employer has to be big enough (300+ is a big company) or if small (such as less than 15), it has to show company's return and sometimes business in hand.

I am on H4 visa, based in Georgia. Did anyone get �Change of Maiden Name to Married Name� done on passport from Indian Consulate Houston, TX.
Can anyone tell me what am I supposed to write in the �Surname� column in the new online application form ? The old application had 2 columns, 1 for maiden name and the other for Desired Name, but the new online application form has only 1 Surname column. I am confused as to what should I write � my maiden name or my married name. I do have the notarization done on the affidavit form. Does this give me the right to write my married name ? Which name should I sign in the application- maiden or married name?

My I-140 is approved. And we are planning to change my wife's status from H4 to F1 student. Is it ok to do that ? I heard that it will be problematic for my wife to go back on Green path. Please advise.

New numbers are out on H-1B usage and the past week showed a substantial pickup in usage with more than 1700 numbers counted against the cap of 65,000. 36,600 H-1Bs have been counted now. I'm moving my exhaustion projection date up about two weeks. My target is based on a rolling four week usage average so variations from week to week are discounted. I am a July 2nd filer and my checks were cashed on August 14th. I also received my receipts from my company and the notice day is August 10th while receipt date is July 2nd. Can anyone please let me know when I should expect to receive my FP's?

I want to change my employer from A to B. B has filled for h1b transfer on 26-sept-2007 (I have fedex tracking number). Till today (9-oct-2007) we hv not received the receipt notice.
My expected start date was 1-oct which has been extended twice, i.e 8th & then 15th. If receipt does not come will 15th, then can I join the new employer?
Is there any way I can find out the file position/status using fedex tracking number?
Can new employer file one more application for h1 transfer under premium process?

I'm trying to figure out how to make a 3d vector animation of a person walking or dancing. more specifically, the outline of a person walking/dancing.
I've seen this before on other sites, but can't remember where. sometimes it's the 3d outline animation, sometimes its asingle-color 2d animation. does that make sense. I'll try to post an example if I find one.
Anyway, does anyone know this process or know of a place that shows how it's done? thanks.

It all depends on what format your 2d image is in. If it is in AI or EPS, you can automatically import the image into Swift 3D and animate it. If it is a JPG or GIF, you might have a few more steps before importing into Swift 3D.
Take your image and import it into Flash. Export the Flash animation as AI (adobe illustrator) by going to File | Publish Settings | File Types tab. Check the AI box and then publish the movie. The image will be exported in the AI format. From the AI format, you can import into Swift 3D and animate with no limitations.

Please explain how you have worked in Illinios for XYZ company( my GC sponsoring Company) living in MN,WA and TX.
The above description is the one line RFE that I got. I don't have more details to give. I guess am like any other consultant who works in different states( Most of them).
My 140 is approved in Dec 2007. I had 1st RFE on I-485 and submitted the same in Dec 2009. for pay stubs and other things. This is the second RFE. I will consult good attorney. Any advise is helpful.
Also I entered US on AP and I started my own company few months back. I am still working for GC sponsoring company. If by my bad luck my 485 gets denied..what are my options? Also I have my H1 petition valid till May 2012 but I don't have it stamped. Do I need to leave the country and get it stamped?

Yes, as long as you have valid AP, you can re-enter and resume working on a valid EAD.
