Hello friends -
My Receipt notice states that RECEIVED DATE for my 485 is July 17, 2007 and the NOTICE DATE is September 14, 2007.
In my USCIS online account when my click on my 485 RECEIPT No. it states -"CASE recd. & pending" ...On September 14, 2007, we received this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS, and mailed you a notice......
Shouldn't this state that they recd. the case on July 17, 2007.?? Can it be true that their system is showing a recd. date of 9/14 when actually the recd. date on the actual notice/797 is 7/17/07.
How many folks are seeing this.?? Is this how it is supposed to be..I mean is it normal for them to generate a default message like this using the NOTICE DATE when you click ur case #..??

Friends,
My friend just forwarded me this link and it shows 1-jun-2006 priority date for EB2. For EB3 it still shows Unavailable. However US State website still shows old dates.

Please submit contracts, statements of work, work orders, service agreements or letters from/with end-client firms requiring computer related services of the beneficiary. Evidence from other consultants or employment agencies not acceptable. The requested evidence should show specialty occupation work with the actual end-client company where the work will ultimately performed.
My company is big (250+) so why such?? if somebody had same RFE or any guidance or help regarding such matter is higly appreciated.

I have the following questions with respect to number of days I can stay out of the country for my situation.
I have been on green card since June 2010.
I have visited India from October 17' 2010 to Feb 4' 2011 (Total 111 Days).
Now I need to go back to India again for around 3 months (Approx 10th May - 10th Aug) which is about 93 Days.
My questions are:
1. As a GC holder can I make the above visits without resetting my 'Continuity of 5 Yeard of Residence' clock ? As in each calender year I will not be out of country for greater than 180 days. But, when you count from October 16 2010 - October 15 2011, I will be more than 180 days out of the country.
2. If answer to the above question is NO, do I need to file/apply for any exception to be out of country?

My wife switched from H4 to F1 status and is near completion of her Masters degree.
She will be traveling to India soon and will be getting her F1 visa stamped.
Documents/advice from anyone who has done this recently will be appreciated.

You have to return both I-94's while ticketing ie before exiting and while entering at POE IO will give you new I-94 based on AP as Paroled AOS pending..
Ofcourse keep your copy of I-94 from your H1 Extension I-797 approval notice.

If I were going to spend over a year in a country which required a visa to visit (such as Nigeria), in order to study the local culture, which kind of visa would I need to obtain before hand? Business, work, study, visitor, etc?

Yes for extensions - Auto revalidation only from contiguous countries - Canada, Mexico and some islands.
There are several other requirements - take some effort and google it !
